Beautiful, Joyful, & Heart-Breaking
With relatable characters, elegant prose, and well-placed wit, Nash weaves a joyful (and at times painful) story about life and how we spend it.
You’ll fall in love with each member of the Monasmith family as they navigate their family’s unique affliction and try to understand the brief, beautiful life of their brother/son. The moments sprinkled throughout Wells’ story are both touched with impossible wonder and filled with an authenticity that makes them instantly relatable. You’ll find yourself smiling constantly, thinking back on your own life nostalgically, laughing out loud, and (in my case) crying more than a few times as the events unfold.
An absolute recommend to anyone looking to feel a little more human and reconnect with the beauty and intricacy of life.
