Have read the books and enjoyed them even though they were not the type that I normally read. Watched first episode and was very disappointed. I can't believe Box approved this. Casting was terrible. One of the reasons I continued reading Joe Pickett novels was how well Box described the characters and environment which they lived. It was easy to picture in my mind the story and care about the characters and their lives. I don't normally enjoy books with violence but Box made it believeable. Looks like he sold out.
