The pitch of the movie is quite good. It is a good reflection about the obsession of beauty. The director takes it very far. Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley are excellent. Their chemistry is really amazing. The cinematography is impressive, we have several close-up especially on the body and when Dennis Quaid eats. It is absolutely repelling when he eats these shrimps. Dennis Quaid plays the usual Hollywood crook who is greedy and brutal. He only cares about the results and the audience. Everything was excellent in the movie except the end. I think the director did not know how to close the movie and created a monster at the end. It might be an allegory of this beauty’s obsession all the celebrities develop throughout the years, I can understand that but the way it was staged was gross and extremely disgusting. Do not watch the movie while eating anything: if you have ultra-sensitive, you will throw up! In conclusion, the movie could have been a masterpiece without this end.

This movie is perfect. I do not say that always besides it is so difficult to find a movie where you actually love everything and when I say everything, it is really everything: the cast is unbelievable; I have all my favorite actors there: Ralph Fiennes, Willem Dafoe, Adrien Brody, Harvey Keitel, F. Murray Abraham, Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton, etc.. For those actors alone, the movie is worth watching. But it is not all, anybody who knows the talent of Wes Anderson and his style will be delighted and strangely caught in this story. Wes Anderson succeeded here, using a very particular cinematography, to transport us in the universe of the Grand Hôtel. When you watch this movie, you feel extremely well. You have the impression to be part of the crew. It is enchanting, bewitching, enthralling. You feel as if you were literally traveling without moving. The burlesque of the characters and the story which is half funny, half dramatic is a perfect combination of emotions. There are a few movies like the Grand Budapest Hotel which I can call a masterpiece from the beginning until the end.
