I couldn't stomach more than a few minutes of it because the "romance" literally starts off with the male lead raping the female lead??? I feel disgusted that this was marketed as a romance, and felt horrified and blindsided by the sudden rape scene. There wasn't even any kind of label or warning that this movie contains this. Rape is not okay. Rape is not romance. And marketing a "relationship" that begins with rape as romantic or as anything other than sexual assault is extremely harmful. This movie's makers have chosen to actively participate and feed into rape culture, and, in doing so, create real harm in real people's lives. The creators of this film should be extremely ashamed of themselves and have a long discussion with the police about consent.
