I was at Ben Suc with Lima Platoon, A Co, 1/26th Infantry, 1st Infantry Division January 1967. I was in three minefields that very long day either January 10th or 11th. Lost friends that day.

Tedious is the best that I can say about this film. The excitement of opening the rectangular package is not surpassed by the “sex” scene. The “dialogue” is her breathing ever so slightly and the noise of traffic going by outside. Then she uses scissors to murder her client.
Question. How did the director keep the technicians awake?
I made a silent oath to watch the entire film. That I did.
Then I realized that the film maker had completed the joke.
A “political film”?

I have viewed this brilliant film a few times. The acting is excellent and the script/theme are very well done. Kevin Bacon needs an award for his performance. I am a combat infantry veteran and this film stirred many memories. Thank you.

Remains currently appropriate because of Gore Vidal’s writing and the great actors involved.

One more film with leading character stuffing food in his mouth in an amount that would choke a Water Buffalo. Film makers new idea is to copy most other films. Visual Plagiarism at best.

Boring, except for Hank Azira, who is always enjoyable to watch.

Slow moving but interesting as it presents an array of believable characters, who are once comedic yet complex. It is however colored with an always present awareness that the script was rented from a writer in Brooklyn.

The story line is disconnected so much so that it is irritating and confusing at best. Kidman is lost in the plot and only emerges as an actress in a few brief scenes where she has but a brief speaking part. Additionally, it is the new template where teens uninitiated in life get to tell adults how the world works.
