With the current state of political affairs, I completely understand why this show was allowed to be aired. However, it is utterly disrespectful to Russian culture. Once again, it portrays how great the western world is. They come and save everyone from the uneducated misery. I do not disregard the impact Catherine the Great had on the Russian world, and the improvements she brought. However, this is just ridiculous. A comedy, they say... I would more likely say that it is a caricature and a paternalistic view of the west.

I started to watch this show when I was 15. Stopped. Rediscovered it two weeks ago (binged watched every episode in two weeks). This is the best show. It is inspiring, funny, wholesome. The last episode of those shows felt as if I lost someone close to me. This show made me happy at the time I am the most unsure about my life. I never skipped a single episode or even part of it. I wish for everyone to watch this show and enjoy it as much as I did. It is amazing!
