Its reminiscent of dragon age with a more controlled combat that's very fluid if not a bit chaotic. Combat can be varied depending on enemy type. The fast travel makes it move but the exploration is a bit weak so far. To be fair I'm only about 15hours into the game. It may evolve to something more substantial.

It’s loyal to Lovecraft mythology and pretty good overall. I found it to be pretty immersive. It isn’t the best action game but I liked the puzzles and the overall environment. Pretty cool really especially if you’re a Lovecraft fan. I’ve been for almost three decades so this game was pretty exciting when I first heard of it.

Ok longtime hardcore gamer since 1986... I can tell you some games are a experience. Most are just variations of similar concepts. This is a visceral, nerve splitting, heart breaking ride through a bloody post apocalypse. I’m sure people hated aspects of this game. I loved exploring the ruined world. The action on hard was hard. Died a lot and that’s rare for me. Usually I adapt quickly to enemies. This game has decent AI. The enemies flank, rush, snipe, stay behind cover til you move. I don’t want to compare this to the first game. It felt like a different experience. It’s haunting. If you’re older, mature, and like gritty action this will entertain for many nights. Took me weeks to be playing long sessions.
