Its great, honestly i think a lot of people went into this series hoping it be like the movie. Is wasn’t just Selena, it was Selena y Los Dinos. I love how each character has their own part in this series. The parents showing how they met snd what they did to make a success in life from losing everything at one point to having it all from working hard. AB has his part showing how he became a parent and having to handle the pressure of touring while away from family and the pressure of his father to produce good music. Suzette as well, shows how she came to love being a drummer and how she loved and protected Selena always. Other band members as well showing how they because part of los dinos. As far as acting i think its great. I love how they casted actual Mexican born actors or Mexican/American actors because thats what Selena y los dinos were not just Texans but Mexican American. This isn’t supposed to be like the movie its supposed to go more in debt on how Selena became who she was, and that includes the band as well. We obviously do not know if she wrote her songs or made her own music so we have to rely on the people who actually knew her to show her im these types of shows. Selena didn’t just sing “como la flor” “techno cumbia” “carcacha” etc. She has way more songs before those and this series shows just that, most “fans” know her for the songs she sang at the astrodome or her #1 hits but in reality she has songs that were a lot better. So i suggest you guys rewatch the series without the thought of seeing an exact person to look like selena to play the part. Or expect the same energy JLO gave because you will be disappointed. Go back to selenas first albums look at the covers listen to the music and you’ll see what the show is trying to do. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
