Love Humraaz because it is one of the few movies so far in the 21st century that will stand up until the end of time(modern story but still retain the Indian culture). In my opinion, this is Amisha Patel and Bobby Deol's best movie because it gave them the widest scope to act that shows both positive and negative qualities that people can have in life. I consider Humraaz an excellent movie because of the story(combination of Pretty Woman, Indecent Proposal, Several Murder plots, etc.). Bobby is excellent as the Business Tycoon(kinda like Richard Gere in Pretty Woman),love how he is mesmerized by Amisha's beauty. I read some previous reviews that gave Bobby flack for looking/acting like a man in love during the 1st half of the movie, instead they only like his acting during the 2nd half. But these critics fail to realize that this movie is a Romantic Thriller, so Bobby was required to act romantic. Amisha is excellent as the gorgeous dancer who has a transaction love relationship with Karan(Akshaye), then later finds true unconditional love with Raj(Bobby). It's the best Amisha has ever looked and dressed(beautiful sari's-Indian clothes). Love the onscreen chemistry that Amisha has with Bobby in all 3 of their movies(Kranti, Humraaz, Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai).Humraaz has top songs, love them all, especially the title track "Sanam Mere Humraaz". Excellent acting by all 3 lead stars(Bobby, Amisha, Akshaye). Even the supporting cast has very good parts. Johnny Lever was funny and did not go overboard. The troupe members and the 2 older couples(Rustom, Tommy, Rosie) added value to the movie. Dadi Maa is the coolest grandmother I have ever seen in Bollywood movies, with video calls, make Priya a partner in the business, etc. In fact, Humraaz is a pretty advanced movie in 2002 with technology(excellent use of the cassette, cameras, etc.).
Humraaz was nominated for many Filmfare and other awards, but was shut out, which is really disappointing because this is one of the favorite movies by fans. Humraaz has been viewed by so many million of people and the number continues to grow daily. Fans love this movie so much that they make their own additions/switches to a couple of the songs on Youtube. The Title track-"Sanam Mere Humraaz", they put Amisha in black sari before blue sari. In "Dil Ne Kar Liya", they add Raj/Priya dancing at dinner on the ship to this song.
Would be nice if Abbas-Mastan had made a sequel to Humraaz, with Bobby, Amisha and Akshaye returns as his twin brother investigating Karan's murder. Also, Raj and Priya finally get to consummate their relationship and have a couple of kids. They live with the secret of Karan's death. Bobby and Amisha still looks good and hope they can reunite for another film again.
