I watched this film so many years ago in my 20s when I dont have much appreciation of movie as an art. Watching it now with an open mind and I suppose with more maturity, I noticed there's hardly a dull moment in any of the scenes, it's a fast paced action movie that you won't want to leave your seat or miss the excitement. There's also plenty of subtle humour. The only mistake in this movie was being branded and titled as sequel to the original Speed movie. If taken in its own merit, the movie is definitely worth the watch and is a great one too. As usual Sandra Bullock is as charming as she is. Jason Patric is so handsome and charismatic and fits perfectly Alex' character as a soft spoken and caring but tough cop (just like Jack). Too bad he was compared too much with Keanu from the original movie that he didnt stand a chance as suitable replacement for Jack Traven. I thought he and Sandra had great onscreen chemistry.
