I've been a devoted admirer of Nayanthaara and her recent impactful roles in women-centric films. However, I believe this particular movie marks a significant misstep in her career trajectory. The narrative seems to endorse a negative perspective towards South Indian "Brahmins," portraying their mentality, culture, and beliefs as worthless. The storyline, seemingly drafted with specific biases in mind, inappropriately suggests that Namaz is essential for preparing a good Biriyani/food—a portrayal that lacks relevance. Moreover, the inclusion of a dialogue claiming that Lord Ram consumed meat is baseless and offensive to followers of Sanatan Dharma, who should raise their voices against such misrepresentations. It's crucial for actors to ensure that, along with conveying social messages, they avoid depicting cultural elements in a demeaning manner. This incident leaves one disappointed, but I remain hopeful that such portrayals will be addressed and rectified soon.
