Very poor performance by the lead actor and very little semblance to the real character. Napoleon was one of the most inspiring and charismatic people to have ever lived on earth. The performance given by the actor was one dimensional and modest. It's probably not the fault of the actor alone. I believe the director didn't properly understand the character either. For the first half of the movie I thought this was meant to be a parody of Napoleon! If your first hand knowledge about Napoleon comes from this movie, please, go back and read about him,watch some documentaries. He truly was an outstanding individual, unlike this boring portrayal! I am very disappointed, we were due a modern movie about this great man. An opportunity was missed. It's probably now going to take another 20-30 years until we will have another Hollywood Napoleon movie...
