For me personally, it's a 5 star game. I played the original suikoden by pure chance...rented from family video when I couldn't find anything else a long, long time ago. Loved it and was looking forward to this since I heard about it, and it did not disappoint. However, objectively, I gave it 4 stars. Certain details and mechanics stayed TOO true to the old school game...random encounters being probably the prime example, as well as maps, quest journal thingies, a few other others. Moving forward, (and I REALLY hope they make sequels) , combining many of the quality of life advanced that have taken place since the old school days with everything that made this game so good would make for a 5/5 game. Oh and I almost forgot.... the music is AMAZING!

Wish I had known it was the same style as divinity original sin. Everyone liked DoS too, and I did not. Same with this game. Soooooo slow. Losing a battle sets you back at least 20 minutes and just equipping your team is a hassle. I'm not impressed....like at all.
