First book I’ve read all year. Last year I read one book. I’m not one to read to keep myself busy or as a fun hobby. However I did need to keep my mind busy & focus on the task at hand. Queenie is me. I am Queenie. I can relate to her story in SOME ways. Some days it’s every way. In other ways I can not. I am a Hispanic woman turning 28 in NYC & have questioned who I am. To make a very long short -Queenie has made a breakthrough. The story is idealistic with highs & lows that keep you on your toes. I’m not crazy about the ending because I enjoyed reading Queenie’s story. This is a must read book. Keep an open mind. Be kind to one another. Make love not war. Spread Peace, love & joy. Self love is the best love. Don’t give up God got you! Stand up tall with your head held high, don’t let your crown fall. Keep your head up. God is good. P.S. #BlackLivesMatter
