The Batman is a beautifully made Detective styled Movie which portrays every character perfectly. (This is going to be a long one) From the first scene I was hooked the opening was perfect it truly showed the fear Batman puts into the criminals. The scene where the paint can rolls into the shadows is perfect writing. Batman is portrayed perfectly by Robert Pattinson he portrays an early Batman who is still learning what he has to be for Gotham. The Friendship between Gordon and Batman flows amazingly throughout the movie. From the first 5 minutes we can connect with these characters. The Corruption of Gotham is shown in this movie in a truly suspenseful way the more Riddler kills the more the entirety of the corruption is unravelled. Speaking of Riddler. He is a extraordinary villain from the moment he first came on screen you could tell how great he would be. Paul Dano brought this character to life. Matt Reeves did a different take on this character and it worked for the movie. He took a serial killer trope in this film and it fitted the rivalry between Batman and Riddler. Sure the good old Riddler in a bright green costume with question marks all over is good and entertaining. But the serial killer type truly fits the mood of this film. Zoe made catwoman come to life in this film. By far my favourite. In the past we have had amazing casting choices. But poor script (Halle Berry) Though Zoe was an excellent casting choice along with an amazing script which did her iconic character justice. She also isn’t sexualised like previously with is a breath of fresh air Colin Farrell also portrayed a great penguin. The penguin doesn’t need to be a 3,9 gremlin to be good and Matt Reeves showed us that. The Ending was great and is definitely a perfect way to set up future films (Barry Keoghan has a lot of potential as Joker as well) Overall a 10/10 though I recommend that if you are going into this movie to expect a corny jokefest like majority of the mcu films you will be surprised. I’ve seen many people saying there were bored. It’s a mystery detective film it isn’t going to be constant action. I recommend that if you are not really a Batman fan and aren’t really involved in his movies, shows, comics etc might find this movie lacking. But for me this film is a success in every single aspect definitely give it a watch if you are a Batman fan and enjoy amazing cinema.
