I hope to see Episode 3 - just to have a resolution of the mother's guilt and possible romance with her colleague. These sub-plot 'hooks' have been strung out to keep certain of us continuing to turn in. I like police procedurals, especially European, but this one doesn't ring true. She is surrounded by males officers who don't show much initiative, always waiting for Valeria to tell them what to do , she magically finds clues, solves cases by sensing if they are lying or not when being interviewed. Overall she just seems too young for the role, and not hardboiled enough to be commanding a squad of Italian me, who are portrayed as waiting on her to think it through and come up with solutions. She and her boss are too obvious in their relationship while at work. Excuses to see him, stay at his place too flimsy. Each case is solved in 2 episodes while the better 'mysteries' are what Valeria's mother is hiding, and whether now having learned character of her lover boss, she turns to her 'evolved' colleague. Its all too obvious but I was still surprised there was no conclusion to the real mysteries at end of Season 2... and I am mad because only Seasons 1 & 2 are being shown. Mad that I sat through Season 2 episodes already bored with the series in regards to police work, losing interest in Valeria's problems in her own life, but continuing to watch. just to find the real mystery, that of mother, solved. Valeria just did not have much depth to her acting, her look, her dress, (the 'sweater') all to make her hip and contemporary but she displayed no deep anything that would explain how she was the head of her unit. Her 3 colleagues looked worse by just standing around waiting for her to visit a crime scene, see a clue, then tell them what to do. Watch it. I did. I got hooked. But to rank it as good as other European police proceedurals I would give it only 2 stars due to Valeria.
