I dont watch much American TV Crime finding it too often poor quality, artificially upbeat and overly sensationalist so I was surprised and impressed by American Rust with its considered and thoughtful delivery and strong acting. I was disappointed but not surprised to later learn that US reviews had been poor citing negativity, slowness and lack of 'action'.
