This is not the Monster Jam of our youth. Where is the car crushing? Pyrotechnics? General wildness? It was so incredibly slow-moving. Probably 15 minutes of action in the 2 hour show. The first 30 minutes was bracket-style “racing” where the trucks just did one loop around the arena, one truck on each side. It was a very slow start, and rather anticlimactic. Most the of the show was the cars driving up and down these little ramp mounds. With crazy long breaks between events too, which is totally unnecessary because, with the exception of the motocross ramps they set up in the middle, there’s no changing of the set up.
