I love this movie. It’s dark, mysterious, dramatic, a film noir. Takes place in rainy, humid New Orleans. It’s based on a book by the same author as “The Talented Mr. Ripley” and the director is Sam Levinson, the director of Euphoria. If you like those or other dark moody films about crazy rich people, like American Psycho, Basic Instinct, Gone Girl, Hitchcock stuff, etc. you’ll love this.
It’s not politically correct, nor has any so deep social Justice message, it’s just entertaining.
Oh, and Ana de Armas is brilliant.
The reviews were so bad that I became skeptical, especially because some of the best “critics” give horrible movies great reviews (coda, nomad land—these aren’t entertaining to me).
