I really wanted to like this. It starts off slow, stays slow and I found myself looking foward to the crucifixion because I just wanted the movie to be over and because Phoenix makes for a better Charles Manson than he does this weak, pathetic and over aged Jesus. There is a much better, longer and far more eloquent review on here that is spot on. Let me just add....the movie sucked.
