It could've been a lot better (I feel so bad saying that) , and I know that because Ariana is the same person who created "thank u, next" just months after releasing her other album "sweetener". She has the potential and it shows in tracks like "off the table", "safety net", "pov" and the title track "positions". The songs have a similar theme- sex and don't get me wrong, I have nothing against sexual songs, I'm completely fine with them but tracks like "34+35" and "love language" just didn't do it for me. She gave us a very good single but the album didn't really match the vibe the single carried.
The album had very similar sounding tracks, meaning if you try to think about them, you really aren't able to differentiate between them, it's like they all blend together to form a very long track.
So, "positions" is a good album, but considering the fact she had like 37 producers on it, it could've been a lot better... ❤️
