Where to start! .....absoluteky cativating.......most things I loved about it, storyline, the unexpected depiction of tawaifs in the independence, the romantic story between Tajdar and Alamzeb!! The things which I wasn'ta fan of were, that if the story is in Lahore, then Jinnah should have been mentioned ( when Tajdar said Gandhi and nehru were educated from Europe) and Pakistan flag should also have been shown at the time of independence seen. If that was not possible politically , then these points could have been taken out. HAVING SAID THAT....... ...The significance of Heeramandi not only as an important cultural attribute but also their sacrifices in the independence movement ( which to be honest I didn't even know till now thanks to SLB for highlighting and reminding us) , songs, sets, acting , CINEMATOGRAPHY,dialogues ! Only SLB could have done that. It has left a huge good impact on me! The actors! Esp Manisha Korelia has done an amazing job. For the people who think Alamzeb was stiff as an actor, I have to stay that is what her character was ! Different , suttle, down to earth, not interested in the tawaifs ways and she portrayed it really well. No one else could have played the character of Alamzeb better. OVERALL an excellent series!

I do not understand why did critics dislike it so much? I really liked this adaptation. Quirky, witty , still showing deep emotions of both main characters in the movie. Each and every actor in the movie has done a brilliant job and so has the director of course!. Only negative thing I can say is that Dakota Johnson's English accent was not on point but did not mind Anne Elliot talking to the camera from time to time. I think it was a refreshing take no doubt ! And not to forget the diversity in the cast is absolutely a delight ! With such a vast variety of talent on disolay and hence the whole movie felt incredible and left a good impression 👏.
