The original movie was one of my favorites then but the series is wonderful. I love the mix of characters, the story lines, the pace, well done. It leaves one with a warm feeling and can't wait for the next episode. Great job Mindy Kaling and co. Fantastic job. It's such a welcome and fulfilling and heartfelt change to see such a beautiful show on tv. Hope it will continue for a long long time to come. I enjoyed the original series in the 70s. I absolutely love the new version. It depicts the times we live in and the new cast is exceptional. Geez I find myself crying a few times. The theme music pulls at my heartstrings. I wish I could visit the island. This is my 'feel good' show during the pandemic. Looking forward to Season 2, 3, 4 and many many more.
