Premise is basically that without the glorious, perfect, guidance of the "elite" humanity would instantly devolve into a madmax-esque complete madhouse. Without the wealthy's beneficence we'd forget even basic things such as language. Movie is effectively desperate for the wealthy-gaze and is a love letter to those who are "better" than us. All the other parts, poor lighting, poor acting, poor writing, miserable pacing, hold true as well, but I suppose when all you're doing is trying to show that humanity is doomed without the wealthy elite this is what you'll end up with.
