A lebenspiel, that is a slice of life through characters and their true life dialogue of blacks and first generation Jews, Italians about great and everyday matters within the context of a small Pennsylvania town in the 1930s. Well crafted to draw the reader to keep reading page after page. Will resonate to those old enough and to those younger it will prove insight to American struggles to have people meld into a community to exist if not live happily together.
