Didn't quite meet my expectations, but it was worth the purchase.
I had mixed feelings about it after reading some 'meh' reviews, but I honestly ended up enjoying the relatively short campaign. I was expecting something to replace my Modern Warfare itch, but instead this feels more like a faster and looser companion. The game seems to run about as smooth as Modern Warfare, and actually looks slightly better to me. I think it does enough to break away from Modern Warfare's formula to justify a purchase.
There is only the option of a linear response curve for controllers so I ended up playing this with mouse and keyboard instead since turning feels clumsy like that. I hope they include the other response curve types from Modern Warfare. I have only played a few online matches, but overall it feels like a faster game than Modern Warfare and honestly like a bit of fresh air in comparison. I don't think I'll be giving up Modern Warfare for this anytime soon, but it's nice to have the option depending on what mood I'm in.
