Absolutely blown away by Violet. It’s a must see for anyone who admires (and misses) real film making - but if you suffer from an internalized bully you should watch it immediately. Totally riveting from start to finish- so smart, well written and compassionate. It’s not easy to illustrate this particular problem because no one else can see it but Bateman pulls it off stunningly in an avant-garde fashion- really challenging what a film can look like. Performances, dialogue, cinematography… Violet has it all and it’s all straight up fantastic. 💜
