I love the humour in this book and it's carried throughout the whole series. My favourite characters would have to be: Gran'ma Ben, Phoney Bone and Lucius. I would recommend this book to those that love reading comics with romance, humour and happy-go-lucky attitudes.

I couldn't put down this book once I started reading and I am still currently saving up to purchase the third book in this series. I'm anxiously waiting to see what happens next. If you're into thrillers and twists and turns on every page, then I highly recommend this book! I loved the chills I got from the hollows and the turns of events.

I definitely recommend this book series for those who like older timed books, remedies, apothecaries and a bit of Latin. (The whole book isn't in Latin and there are translations)

This book and the rest of the series made me want to read more fantasy and mythical creature books. I'm still working on getting the other books though. Currently looking for the Fire Ascending.
