Boy On Hold This book reminded me of the wonderful journey that is childhood. As a new Grandmother, I am reconnecting with that fabulous and awesome responsibility that is trying to raise a perfect child in an imperfect world. This book was thought provoking and rich detailing the lost innocence of a child in turmoil. In light of our current political environment, I particularly appreciated the author addressing the difficulty parents have balancing fantasy and fiction when teaching their children. What is truth? If you believe hard enough in something, does that make it true? I found myself caring about the characters in the story and wondering how it would all wrap up in the end. Interesting how the seed of the story started with her own child's interests. Great read. PS Loved her earlier book, CATCHER’S KEEPER as well. Eve Caballero
