While I can appreciate Joaquin Phoenix in this film, he did a superb job of portraying a sad man with an extreme psychological disorder, this movie is just horrible! The plot was slow and I just didn't get the vibe you typically have with the joker. Joker in this movie was sad and depressing. His life was tragic but it felt like you lived that tragedy with him. Maybe that's why people are calling this a good movie? I can only speculate but it was like torture to watch it. It was so cringey... I really need to watch something else to wash off this feeling the movie left me with.
