Entertainly written, holding the reader's interest. The writer opens up herself to possible criticism, however, I believe it is this vulnerability that captures the reader. I so enjoyed the geographical descriptions and the stories of the local people and their culture.
Susan's relationship with her mother is so credible and very close to home. Two big personalities navigating the mother/daughter relationship and yet both obviously loving each other. It's dynamic!
I would recommend Aphrodite's Breath. I was eager to get back to reading at every opportunity.
