Favorite part…MAL & PAIGED KISSED! I was about to give up on this show. I was so excited about this JimmyJam TerryLewis music inspired/Terri McMillan created show. The casting works so well! But I was feeling extremely angry by the time I viewed episode 2 because the lead character was always being saved by white people (boyfriend; foster mother; stepmother) Is Minnesota that devoid of black support systems and/or love interests? The father makes comments about his daughter still dating white men but his friend with benefits is an extreme contradiction to this statement. I love the storyline/plot but find it a little frustrating. The chemistry between Mal & Paige is exquisitely playful, honest and relatable. I look forward to more character development and possibly a positive no stereotypical dramatic black on black loving, committed, intimate relationship.
