Absolutely disgusting film that normalizes rape. The audience is meant to believe that the rapist protagonist somehow strangles and rapes his wife due to his own boyish naiveté regarding sex, and thus deserves our sympathy. Because somehow, a grown man strangling and raping a person can be a shortsighted, unintended mistake. Meanwhile, the survivor is encouraged by all to forgive and forget, and seen as virtuous for finally doing so. These idiotic story lines (likely written and produced by thoughtless men) only promote violence against women and normalize violent rape as a simple "mistake" and inherent part of being a man in a sexually repressed society. Seriously disgusted by this film, its creators and its fan base. They could not have done more of a disservice to Kerala society.
