Absolutely brilliant show. Well written, acted and directed. Atmospheric and haunting. Storylines are extraordinary. You have to concentrate on the storyline to get its meaning and symbolism.

Very atmospheric drama. Reminded me of a Thomas Hardy novel and mans relationship to nature. This was borne out later when the novel Tess of the D'urberville was introduced to the storyline. I thought the character of the mother could have been more fully developed as her cruelty to her son was what made him what he was. Enjoyed the show. Looking fotward to series 2.

Well written quirky storylines based on a sort of religious themes I found. Lead actors could have been fleshed out more. Excellent settings.

Brilliant 3 series. The first series is spellbinding. Nicola walker is a fantastic actress and the cast are so well chosen. Writing is exceptional. Cannot wait for series 4. Have let all my friends know about it and they loved it.

Terrible acting, directing, storyline etc. Atrocious. How it ever got to season 2 is incredible.
