I love anything by Jane Austen. She was the most wonderful writer of all time. She had an incredible understanding of human nature. She also could through her writing be very scathing and yet in a genteel way. This wonderful movie is the closest thing to being back in the Regency Period. All the sets, clothing, music is sublime. The lovely romantic period between Emma and Knightly when you are thinking awww that's nice suddenly turns into Emma's nose bleed.... typical Jane Austen humour. All the cast were sublime. Jane would be so pleased.
