Realistic for the proverbial southern earthy situations found in the small towns. Ricci was great and so was Samuel Jackson. Even Justin Timberlake was good, surprisingly, since this must have been one of his first movies.

Jonathon Ryes Myers’ performance was stilted, uncomfortable to watch while all the ladies were all fabulous. I am sure he has done other work that’s fine, but this performance made him appear not to belong.

A lot of very good acting, but the plot and writing equated to a real downer. So depressing, and almost unrealistic since repetition of castigation and blame felt as it should ended long before the movie finally ended! After the ending, I felt Whew and Belch were appropriate responses from being over served on all the repetitive plot extensions and raging emotions.
