I loved most the chefs, their characters and their personalities and their different talents. I intensely disliked the methods of judging, the final judging should have been left to food critics and not former contestants. And I definitely felt 3 of the people shouldn’t have been on the show, specifically Liv who cooked the chicken and rice and Brian, they were both clearly out of their league, and finally the snake Jeanna. She knew she couldn’t win on talent and skills so did everything in her power to sabotage the best chefs. All I can say is karma! Her and Brian’s dishes were all bad. As for the ending, Mike was robbed. His dessert was a masterpiece. That dish alone should have won it all for him. Just before the dessert course was served the judges all admitted it would come down to the dessert, and clearly Robbie’s panna cotta was not the right consistency so what happened? 🙄 And I was truly disappointed in Lana for her choice of Robbie as winner, a clear case of sour grapes. I initially loved her and thought that she should have been cooking in the finale against Mike, but I lost all respect for her for her choice. The choice was not for who “grew” the most as a chef, it was supposed to be for the best. And that was clearly Mike. I did enjoy many aspects of the show but the final dubious choice of Robbie as the best chef made me ultimately regret having watched it at all.
