Warning, this review is one big spoiler!! Ok, for those who read the story.... So, you have a bunch of people who can see into the future and can identify individuals for whom the world would be a lot better without. I can buy that. You have another group of people who seem to have no issue kidnapping kids and killing their parents. Why then would you bother with the cost, mess, and deeply amoral behavior of forcing kids to develop their talents to remotely off the bad guys? Why wouldn’t you simply deploy your teams of trained killers to do it? Would seem to be a much better use of resources and a heckuva lot cheaper. Of course, Mr. King would have one less novel to his credit! I have been a constant reader for a very long time. And this novel is written very well but I couldn’t figure out why there was so obvious an alternate path to travel down.
