Terribly predictable, juvenile and plain boring. I am fed up of women trying to find a voice and push boundaries. I mean come on girls. It’s demeaning and disgraceful now. Which bride today lets the MIL choose the wedding dress since it’s the tradition?? The guy playing the groom is atrocious and exhausting. Why would a well placed, gorgeous editor fall for him is beyond me to begin with. Then her friends , so plastic and weird and don’t let me begin on the family. School plays are directed better. And that finally brings me to the leading lady. LH . Hmm I have seen enough to know a one dimensional acting scope but she looks unrecognizable now. Too old for such bubble gum trash. It’s like she is stuck in 1990’s trying desperately to hold on to parents trap ! It’s frankly sad but hoping that it’s a mere blip on the radar for her. The only redeeming character is James . And Ireland. Only good thing I took away after wasting 2 hours is Ireland is must visit place now . Will go and visit it for sure and hope I find that place where wishes come true but I am not wasting it on a guy for sure ! :)

Hmm I am not a huge Alia fan but I am a fan of a good movie. Specially one made by Bollywood by laws as it’s ever so rare now to find. While her husband did a shamshera Alia made this gem . And gem it is . From the seedy lanes of Mumbai to Chawls ki zindagi where nothing is hidden by the reed thin walls and all Neighbours are your extended family whether you like it or not , it brings that world to light and how. But more than Alia it’s Shefali shah who is the major underdog but ironically she steals Alia thunder in some moments . She is without a doubt one of the finest actresses we have and her eyes add volumes to the drama just like the kohl in them. Watch her in scenes with hamza to know what I talk about ! Vijay raz and the guy who plays Zulfi and even the little known beautician all add the tadka to this sizzling chemistry between mother daughter duo. Watch it for Alia and Shefali . Who says women don’t own Bollywood ! Kudos to them ! More girl power . Yayyy

It’s pretty superficial and boring in places.. Ranbir is good, Vicky Kaushal is best .. the girls just get a passing reference because god forbid you might label Sanjay Dutt as a womaniser.. a bold and a stark film was needed .. not something that glossed over his bad boy image..

I agree with rajiv masand...just about everything improves on screen with irrfan on it..and thank god for him..he lifts the movie tremendously from his first frame..looks like he is having the time of his time. He is well complimented by parvathy who is stupendous as a beauty with brains kinda girl..what a pleasant change from those anorexic single toned bimbettes that bollywood calls heroines
