If all of the satirical, BS scenes were taken out, the movie would hold some promise. But just as any other "Raising Hope" production- it sucked. Bale and Carell as well as Amy Adam's did a good job. The end result was a Democratic Campaign piece...

Tim Burton and Disney managed to make this a sad, torturous and disturbing movie. Don't watch unless you plan to have PTSD. Burton, at this point in his life, would benefit from therapy and perhaps a refreshed vision.

I was very much looking forward to this film and found myself quite disappointed. I wont give away things or go all "spoiler" on anything but if anything was a spoiler in this movie, it was the movie itself. It was contrived, rushed and only mildly entertaining and had unrealistic pieces that were politically motivated and inspired eye rolling more-so than applause. And I am a HUGE fan of the show.

Animal cruelty simulated, Emma Stone at her worst - hideous and repulsive movie.
