I read the book and honestly I am not sure if anyone really gets the actual gist of the movie if one has not. I did like it, however, believe multiple character storyline perspectives could have added value in its overall telling. Showing history from an accurate angle and lens demonstrating the greed and dehumanization of BIPOC, along with the demented concept of manifest destiny, helps with the social understanding of generational privilege and begs the question... 'Who is really lazy?' and what lengths do they go to to enjoy the fruits of their laziness?
