We watched this entire series and as we watched we increasingly came to DESPISE the main character! I hated this person and wished nothing but ill for her. The other characters are either stupid or mindless caricatures, laughably bad really. The last hour or so of touchy-feely female bonding and feelings was very hard for a male to watch. Plot logic, how do the civil rights lawyer and his wife get to harbor federal felon fugitives at their cabin and not end up in prison but raising the child of one of those fugitives? Please! As bad as our legal system is, it's not quite that bad, is it?
