the scares are there, the spooks. but as for storyline? its a bit meh..? like i don't have to ponder over anything because the storyline is, just that. lol maybe just me but i like having "oh!" moments when watching horror movie but i just don't have any for this one. when it starts to build up, climax, i had to check the time and i only have 20 minutes remaining, so i was a bit disappointed there.was expecting more. (the resolution was funny to me too like, lol, i was like, thats it??) spoiler alert! the story's a bit cliche; theres good lady, theres annoying lady who drops by, told not to mess around but then do it still, then all hells break loose, and theres the typical dude "crush". its like a cliche teen movie insert in every horror movie. also, jokes here and there that just doesn't fit. i was expecting the movie to explore on the daughter's story instead but :/ a good actress she is btw. i would want to watch more of her movies :) [edit: wait she was the one who played as young carol danvers??! no wonder she looks familiar]
