There is an art form to capture the beauty of horror in the way this film did. The sounds of the film were so captivating, and enjoyable and complimented the palette of grey hues, dark corridors and the minimal dialogue. To say it was a slow burn would not be true to the stylization, as I never felt bored or lost attention but rather at the edge of my seat in anticipation. The romance between death and life was really presented here in a manner that was engaging from the start of the film and connected with the humanity of the living. Its truly a beautiful story, masterful direction, and shows us right up to the point in society when the gore, screams, running, and blood would start. A must see!
