Kate Kilbee

I watched this purely because of Damien Lewis. I've seen a lot of his films in various genres, plus Billions and always been impressed by his characterisation and acting in general. Then along comes The Radleys. Is Damien suddenly short of money? Though I can't believe he got paid much for this tosh. The script is literally vampires by numbers with all the scary bits left out. Plenty of blood and gore though. I know it was billed as a comedy but I never cracked a smile once. To enjoy a book or a film you have to care about the characters and I certainly didn't. I would have been quite happy to have seen the whole cast go over the cliff with the motor home. I only stuck with it because my husband seemed to be enjoying it???? Poor script, poor ending and (two!) lacklustre performances from Damien. Save yourselves! Avoid and find something else to watch.
