This is a good show and I’m glad we are watching this. We are in Season Three. Season One and Two moved very fast but Season Three is dragging. The issues regarding Luke (don’t want to give spoiler) are being taken too far. He’s immature. Enough. It’s irritating. Also this is a group that could benefit from direct honesty. The issues that happened to Ashley were dragged out to Season Three and when revealed were not all that shocking. Mother is a bit sanctimonious . Overall it’s a great show at about 22 minutes per episode. Would be interested to know if there will be a Season Four.

I love the two Kate Morton books I’ve read but I did not love this one. It was so confusing and the transitions between decades was choppy and poorly delineated. Way way too many characters and generations to keep track of. It took me an extraordinary amount of time to read this book. I had to keep flipping back and forth to figure out what generation we were in and relevant characters to that part of the story. I finally gave up and just finished it. Not in love with the ending. I’ll try more of her books because she is generally a great writer.

I did not like this book and I definetly did not like the ending. I can appreciate the research the author did on Egyptian history. I found the Egyptology tedious and the switching back and forth in time was confusing. I did appreciate the death doula sections and the writing on death. I also appreciated the part about what life could have been had we made different decisions. The writing on the husband and his scientific views on parallel lives was hard to follow. I really want to say more about the ending but I guess that is in bad form. It was a slow read and a disappointment at the end.
