Madam Geeta Rani 😊😊😊 - Everything about the movie is great except the title. A feel good movie which I have watched in recent times. This movie has strong underlying messages and Jyothika has completely done justice to it.
1. Woman power - this movie on the whole portrays a woman with all strength who can stand against all odds. A dynamic and strict head master with a soft heart for the students. I remember watching Jyothika's '36 vayadhinile' and loved it. She has again proved that she is the one for such roles.
2. A teacher's role in students life - A guru is above God and somewhere it has been forgotten. In today's world, teachers (not all) worry more about their pay scales and personal goals and forget that they have a huge responsibility in moulding a child. It is up to them to earn that respect and create that bond with students. This movie will definitely make you think about it.
3. Underrated govt schools - the minute we think of a govt school, we think of old building, under trained teachers and students lacking life skills. This movie provokes you to bring a change in your thinking and gives a solution for the same.
Apart from the above points, there are many other plus points to this movie. The movie is intriguing and fast moving. I loved the fact that there was no "flash back" scene even when heroine talks about her love and stays focused on the underlined messages. The little kid reminds you of your own times when you had a crush on a teacher. Some scenes definitely feel cliched and music could have been better. Still I stayed entertained till the end.
Bottom line: a movie worth watching with family with a much needed social drama and message
