Saw the movie, then read the book. "Felt" the emotions of Adele, Frank, and Henry days after the credits rolled, and once again after I closed the last page. For viewing, the casting was perfect, Winslet brilliant as always, Brolin sadly romantic, most likely knowing the end was inevitable, and young Henry wise beyond his years, having to "parent" Adele, while longing to just be 13. A brillianly written story, which I have returned to 3 times, each time recapturing the suspense, the hope, the heartbreak, and finally a smile and sigh.
