So real on so many dimensions. It captures the true and compete ' man ' on both sides in the conflict. The enemy is not ridiculed mocked and shamed looking pathetic and unworthy of being there which is what american filmmakers and society encourages, rewards and demands. I like most foreign war movies and do not like American because they (foreign)are more real and give the respect of accuracy on both sides. Thank you for honoring humanity Portugal and not dishonoring it like the americans do. I loved this movie. Two other war movies worthy of praise for accuracy and being works of art are: The 800 and Enemy at the Gates. Neither of these were made or interfered with by americans.
