This film sets the bar for what horror means, other movies may call themselves “horror” but they need to find a new name for their genre because until I saw this movie I have never felt truly horrified on my way out of the theatre. The picture ended and no one clapped, no one cheered, no one spoke a whisper, they all just got up as fast as they could to get out and back into the light. I see a lot of bad reviews from knobs who either lack the capacity for rational though or they’re simply smarmy jealous film snobs who wish they had a shred of this directors talent. Your typical horror film might catch me in a scare once or twice, this one got me six or seven times on a budget of tens of thousands against Hollywood produced so-called horror films with budgets in the hundreds of millions!
